Welcome to the Typhoons FC's (football club) website. We are an independent, non-profit, volunteer youth travel soccer organization, located in mid-west suburban Chicago, Illinois. Our nexus is Villa Park, Lombard, Elmhurst and surrounding communities. The club's mission is to provide young athletes with an opportunity to develop their game and play competitively.

May/June 2012: Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2012-13 season will be held in late May/early June:
- U9 Boys: Wednesday, May 30th, 6-7:30 pm @ York Center, Coach Mike McGovern
- U11 Girls: Wednesday, June 6th, 5-6:30 pm @ York Center, Coach Judy Degnan
- U11/U12 Boys: Thursday, May 31st, 5:30-7 pm @ York Center, Coach Chris Michaels
- U14 Boys: Thursday, May 31st & Tuesday, June 5th, 5:15-7 pm @ Albright, Coach Phil Doherty
- U15 Boys: Thursday, June 7th, 5:15-7 pm @ Albright, Coach Phil Doherty
Prospective players must wear cleats and shin guards (water bottle strongly recommended). Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration and bring a completed Player Registration form. Tryouts are informal; new players will participate in a regular team practice. Age classification (e.g., U8, U9) explained here.March 2012: U14 White takes 2nd place
The U14 White team (resplendent in their maroon alternate jerseys) went 10-2-2 to
capture second place in the U13/U14 division at the Villa Park Odeum.
February 2012: Presidents' Day tourney runner up
A combined U14 team took 2nd place in the Presidents' Day tournament at the Villa Park Odeum.
February 2012: New teams!
The club has added two teams to the fold: U9 Boys and U10 Girls. The teams' inaugural seasons will be this Spring. Team pages are forthcoming.
January-February 2012: Charity Cleats Drive
Club players (and their families) donated ~100 pairs of soccer cleats to
less fortunate kids in El Savador.

February 2012: Club Banquet
Great turnout for the annual club banquet on February 4th at Villa Nova Banquets in Villa Park.
October 2011: Large donation
Ace Delivery Service donated $500 to the club. Thanks, Ace, for your generous support!
July 2011: New squad, U14 Maroon
Attendance for our U14 Boys tryout was outstanding. Rather than skim the cream (and cut the rest), the U14 coaching staff opted for a different approach: take everyone and form a second team.

New site finally up, with further changes planned.
March 2011: U13s capture indoor title
Our U13 Boys went undefeated (10-0) to win the U13 Travel division at the Westmont Yard.
